The chemical sector is responsible for over 5.8 percent of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and around half of the emissions from primary chemicals stem from “feedstock”. Chemical companies can achieve net zero emissions from feedstock by transitioning their production processes to replace fossil-based feedstock with renewable hydrogen. Here we provide a guide for investors to engage with chemicals companies on this issue.
