Elliot Thornton

Elliot joined ShareAction in 2023, specialising in banks’ environmental policies and international standards for sustainable finance. Prior to this, he served as a communications and sustainability strategy consultant, advising companies, development banks, and non-governmental organisations operating across Europe, Africa, and southeast Asia. Elliot holds an MPhil in Environmental Policy, producing research that quantified the mobilising effect of government and central bank policies on the flows of private green finance. When not working, Elliot can be found hiking, searching for new restaurants, or buried in an increasingly unmanageable collection of books.
