We've written letters to the CEOs of Europe's largest banks

In December 2025, we released our latest analysis of Europe’s largest banks and found that progress on climate has ground to a standstill, and in some cases, reversed.

We are asking the CEOs of these banks to show true leadership by proactively pushing back against calls for climate inaction.

To try and influence and improve banks climate performances, we have written to the CEOs of Europe's largest banks with tailored recommendations for each bank to improve their performance on climate, biodiversity and respecting Indigenous People’s rights.

We look forward to receiving written responses from banks and hearing what actions they will take, which will inform our approach in this year’s proxy season.
