ShareAction announces new trustees

ShareAction today announces three new additions to its board of trustees.

They bring a wealth of experience across finance, sustainability, and corporate governance and will help ShareAction meet its strategic ambition to catalyse a financial system that powers social progress.

Paul Dickinson, chair of ShareAction’s board, says: “I’m excited to welcome Olivia, Shipra, and Alice to our board. Their global perspective and rich experiences in sustainable finance will be a huge benefit to ShareAction as we look to drive up standards of responsible investment in markets across the world.”

Her last corporate role was as the Head of Sustainability for EY Financial Services, EMEIA. More recently, she has been working as an independent consultant in the ESG and impact investing space. She has an MBA from INSEAD, France. Shipra is passionate about driving change in how capital markets and businesses operate, stopping/controlling climate change, and ending poverty. She has been associated with ShareAction in several ways, especially through the Pension Power network over the last few years and is proud of the organisation’s ethos and achievements, and looks forward to her new Trustee role.

Alice Steenland

Alice has over 15 years’ experience as a senior executive and board member in the sustainability space, where she focused in particular on finance, investment and innovative business models across all sectors of the economy. Alice brings to the table a broad systems perspective, having held full time or advisory positions in large mulitnationals, NGOs, ratings agencies, consulting firms, start-ups and multilaterals, working in both the US and Europe on projects with global impact. Notably, Alice was the founding Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer at the AXA Group, where she led the company to a #1 position on global sustainability rankings, thanks largely to a pioneering responsible investment strategy including the landmark decision to divest from coal. Most recently Alice has been using out-of-the-box thinking to help support the launch of disruptive business models because she is convinced that the future of sustainability lies in innovating new products, services and economic models and that the future of innovation lies in solving real world social and environmental challenges.
