Deborah joined ShareAction in June 2017 to lead the diversification and growth of ShareAction’s fundraising portfolio and develop and deliver an integrated communications strategy. Having started out in business development for brand and marketing agencies, Deborah began her career in the non-profit sector as corporate fundraiser for youth charity, Catch22, in 2009. She then spent five years building a major grants programme, raising funds from trusts, foundations, statutory bodies and the Big Lottery at London-based homelessness organisation, Broadway, (which latterly merged with national charity, St Mungo’s).

In 2015, Deborah moved to international sustainable development NGO, Forum for the Future, to set up their fundraising function, cultivate relationships with large foundations in the UK, Europe and the US and deliver a major donor fundraising programme, whilst working closely with the communications team to develop key messages and effectively support fundraising activity. Deborah holds a BA (Hons) degree in Communication Studies from Anglia Ruskin University and is passionate about using her role to contribute to positive social and environmental change.
