We are proud of our dynamic staff team at ShareAction, which comprises a committed group of individuals with impressive credentials and a diverse and complementary range of experience.
Overseeing our staff team is our Board of Trustees. We are also supported by a number of interns who receive the London Living Wage.
Catherine Howarth, CEO
Catherine joined ShareAction in July 2008, having previously been the founder and lead organiser of West London Citizens. Earlier in her career she was Senior Researcher at the New Policy Institute.
Catherine is a board member of Green Alliance. She was a Member Nominated Trustee of The Pensions Trust (the multi-employer pension scheme for the UK's not-for-profit sector) for five years until Spring 2013. She served for four years on The Pensions Trust's Investment Committee.
Catherine holds a First Class BA in Modern History from Oxford University and an MSc in Industrial Relations from the London School of Economics.
In June 2011 Catherine was named a 'Rising Star of Corporate Governance' by Yale University's, Millstein Center. In 2013, Pensions Insight featured her as one of the 50 most influential people in pensions and in May 2011 Investment and Pensions Europe called her one of the 'top ten women in pensions'. Catherine was recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2014.

Louise Rouse, Director of Engagement
Louise joined ShareAction in September 2009. She leads on engagement with investors and listed companies for the organisation's environmental, social and governance investor engagement projects. Prior to joining ShareAction she worked as a finance lawyer at Arthur Cox, solicitors in Dublin. Louise served a two year term as an elected member of the Council of the Law Society of Ireland and was a member of the CCBE (Association of European Bar Associations) committee on corporate social responsibility. Louise holds a First Class B. Corp. Law and a First Class LLB from the National University of Ireland, Galway and an LLM from University College Dublin.
Emily Kenway, Head of Projects
Emily Kenway is ShareAction's Head of Projects, working on a range of campaigns and research projects including the Charities Responsible Investment Network and RI for London. She holds a Bachelors and a Masters in Music from the Royal College of Music. Before joining ShareAction in March 2012, she worked at Toynbee Hall and the Guardian.
Allison Martin, Head of Media
Allison joined ShareAction in March 2014 as Head of Media. Allison has worked in journalism and PR for over a decade. She has reported for both the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror and a number of magazines. Her public relations work has primarily been for charities and NGOs, including Age UK and Comic Relief. She also spent a year as a PR consultant for Tesco. In 2002 she was named London Citizens’ Journalist of the Year for campaigning for higher wages for Canary Wharf’s cleaning staff. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Lancaster University.
Camilla de Ste Croix, Senior Researcher
Camilla is ShareAction’s Senior Researcher and joined in December 2013. She holds a MSC with Distinction in Global Politics from Birkbeck College, University of London and a BA in French and Russian from Bristol University. Prior to joining ShareAction she worked as a Research Assistant to an MEP at the European Parliament.
Bethan Livesey, Policy Officer (on maternity leave)
Bethan works on all areas of ShareAction’s policy work, with a particular focus on parliamentary engagement. She is also responsible for ShareAction’s 2013 survey of pension funds. Bethan joined ShareAction in March 2013, having previously trained and worked as a litigator in the City. She holds a First Class BA(Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge.
David Clarke, Policy Officer
David leads ShareAction’s engagement with policymakers and supports the All Party Parliamentary Group on Responsible Investment. He joined ShareAction in November 2013 and has a background in public affairs and campaigning. David holds a BA in Politics from the University of York
Katherine Baird, Campaigns Coordinator
Katherine works on coordinating and supporting a range of ShareAction campaigns. She holds a First Class MA(Hons) in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh. Before joining ShareAction in October 2013, she worked at Envision and the Transition Network.
Lisa Nathan, Research and Engagement Officer
Lisa joined ShareAction in October 2013 as a Research and Engagement Officer. She holds a BA with highest honours in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Lisa has previously worked on a number of campaigns for economic and social justice. Originally from the US, she worked for a global union federation in Switzerland before joining ShareAction.
Sophia McNab, Education Officer
Sophia works on ShareAction’s environmental education programme for Londoners. She joined ShareAction in May 2014 with a background in climate change campaigning in the UK and at the UN Climate Talks. She holds a First Class MA (Hons) in History from the University of Edinburgh.
Bex Hay, Digital Campaigns Officer
Bex leads on the digital engagement and strategy of ShareAction’s campaigns. She joined in July 2013 and has previously worked with a number of campaign organisations including ActionAid UK, 38 Degrees and Love Music Hate Racism. She holds a BA in Modern History and Politics from the University of Oxford.
Colette G. St-Onge, Digital Campaigns Assistant
Colette joined ShareAction in April 2014 to support the Digital Campaigns team. She previously worked on campaigns and research projects at the Cambodian Centre for Human Rights and the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre. She holds a BA and MA in Religious Studies from the University of Ottawa (Canada) and a First Class LLM in Economic, Social and Cultural Rights from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Pamela Coleman, Finance Manager
Pamela joined ShareAction in November 2013 having spent over 13 years in financial roles and several years prior to that as an Office/Finance Manager. She has a B.Sc (Hons) in Combined Studies (Law with Accounting). Pamela has worked mainly in not-for-profit organisations most of her career.
Nicola Cullen, Executive Assistant to the CEO
Nikki joined ShareAction in June 2014 after spending several years developing her financial knowledge working in the foreign exchange and mutual funds industries. As Executive Assistant, Nikki supports the CEO, Catherine Howarth, in fundraising projects and campaigning. Nikki holds a LLB in Public International Law from the University of Hull and is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Development Management through the Open University.
Amy Bradley, Office Administrative Assistant
Amy joined ShareAction as the Office Administrative Assistant in March 2014 after working for Tesco for seven years in various roles including Manager.
